What are lead alloys?
Lead alloys are alloys that contain lead as the main constituent. They are widely used in a variety of applications, including the electronics industry, construction industry, heavy industry, automotive industry, for bearings, radiation protection, medicine, and many others.
One of the most common lead alloys is hard lead, an alloy of lead, antimony, and other elements. It is used in radiation protection, but also as a bearing metal for bearings. Another commonly used lead alloy is solder, which contains lead in combination with tin, copper, and other metals to achieve a low melting point and good flowability.
Lead alloys are used in many applications because of their low melting points, high density, corrosion resistance, and ability to be cast, pressed, and machined well. However, lead also has toxic properties and can be a health and environmental hazard if used or disposed of improperly. For this reason, the use of lead in many applications is being increasingly restricted or banned.

We offer both tin-based white metals and lead-based bearing metals according to common international standards such as EN ISO 4381, ASTM, AFNOR, BS, UNI, etc. or manufacture them according to your own specifications. We supply white metal alloys in delivery forms tailored to your production processes, whether it is centrifugal casting, static casting, or even soldering for bearing repair.
Tin sheet in two different, lead-free qualities.
As soft pure tin with at least 99.9% Sn or as a harder pewter alloy with the composition Sn95Sb4Cu1. Our Tin sheet is lead-free with Pb max. 0.04% and is used, among other things, in medical technology, as a filter in radiation technology, in organ building, or as an elegant surface for bar counters and countertops. Due to its low melting point and easy workability, the possible applications of Tin sheet are very diverse.
